Well, Josh and I moved to Joplin about a week ago. We decided that that was the best thing to do because I couldn't find a job that was paying what I was making before, and with him commuting back and forth from Joplin every day, we really were going through our savings fast. So we found a house for rent about 2 1/2 miles from his school and decided to rent it. My mom and dad and my sister and her family and my friend Noemi helped us move. We could not have done it without them! It was fun having my family and my friend around and made things less stressful. So anyway, when we got everything packed into the trailer and all of the vehicles, we all made our way to Joplin and to the house. The house is very interesting because it's sort of out in the country, which I love, and you have to go down this super long gravel driveway to get to the house....like you can't even see the house from the road. Once you get to the house, it's surrounded by trees on three sides, so you can only see your neighbors that are on the west side. The house is pretty plain on the outside, but it has nice new carpet and new vinyl in the kitchen/dining room. It's kind of an older house, which we found very charming, and I love that I can see cows in the field behind our neighbors house! But when we moved in, as we were putting furniture in and stuff, we noticed all of these glue traps everywhere for bugs. Most of them were empty, but then my nephew found two with a bunch of spiders in it. *Shudder* I hate spiders. And immediately all of us turned to my sister, who at one time lived in a house infested with brown recluses, to see if she could identify them. When she went over to inspect them, I took one look at her face and I knew they were brown recluses. I had to leave the room because I was so shocked and upset. I mean, we went from an apartment where the only bug problem was knats to a house with freakin poisonous spiders! So that was quite the downer. Also we found some mouse traps that were stored in the pantry, so that was even more encouraging. Funny you never think of these things when you first go to look at a house or apartment. So after everyone left that night, Josh and I went to Wal-mart, prepared to arm ourselves with every kind of poison and trap we could to battle these pests. We laid out more glue traps that night, but I checked them in the morning and they were still clean. *Whew* So now that the initial shock has warn off, and we haven't actually found any live brown recluses, I am feeling better about the house and enjoying it more. I love the kitchen. Everything is so light and there are two huge windows that let in the sun that filters through the trees outside the house. And quite frequently in the evening when we are coming and going, we see rabbits running around and it's so funny, because they run infront of the car and do a kind of zig zag run, and don't actually get off of the driveway for awhile, so it's hard trying not to hit them! I don't want to hit one...they are so cute with their fluffy white tails. I spent the week unpacking everything, so now the only thing that hasn't been unpacked are my winter clothes. We are still having 70 degree weather unfortunately.

It's very interesting living in a small town; I've lived in Springfield for 12 years so it's rather amusing to see all the differences. But they do have a coffeehouse downtown, so I will have to check that out! Well, I am getting so sleepy that I can't type right, so I better get going!
